WHEN I WAS FIVE YEARS OLD AND THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK,

I transformed a bullying, negatively spiraling situation with four neighborhood kids into a positive one of fairness and cooperation. I had acted with a kindergartner’s desperation and had no idea what a “culture shift” was. My success astonished me.

This early memory continues to fuel my optimism that even the most dysfunctional organizations can change for the better with the right communication strategies. Since that first heavy lift, it takes a lot to scare me away.

With a journalist’s ear, I enjoy understanding where you are coming from, what you care about, and what you need to thrive. I listen. I question. I help people discover insights. Strategic and patient, I am in it for the long run.

My goal is to help you reflect upon your experiences, gain awareness, focus on your true priorities, and connect better to others.

For more than 20 years, I have facilitated confidential discussions about leadership and management challenges around the world, in organizations big and small, in established institutions and nascent start-ups. I have assisted people in many different situations to figure out what is working, what is not working, and how to correct course.

In 2019, I founded Gardy Communication Strategies to help established and aspiring civic and community leaders worldwide to mobilize support around their endeavors. I am excited to help you grow your efforts.
